Five Key Leadership Behaviors that drive Organizational Growth

The business enables and fuels the constant evolution of purpose, mission, associated processes and people development.

Groval Selectia is engaged with various organisations, building their mechanisms to evolve the leadership impact. We had some valuable experiences.

Through our projects, we found certain areas that are needed to enable the leadership:

1. Clarity of Thoughts :

Thoughts ultimately are the source of inspiration and power to one and all. Here are the tips for the same:

  • Articulation should be audience-centric- Take time to organise your thoughts before any important communication
  • Clearly define your crisp goals, objectives, and the message you want to convey.
  • Eliminate distractions and focus on the key points you want to communicate.
  • Use simple and concise language to avoid confusion.

2. Precise communication of the purpose

This is one of the most critical and complex aspects for any leader. While one may think they have done their best to articulate the purpose, the proof lies in the impact created by the communication. What do some of the successful communicators do? As per our experience, here are some practices confident leaders have done in the OD engagements of Groval Selectia :

  • Clearly articulate the purpose of any communication or activity.
  • Ensure that your message is focused and easy to understand.
  • Use concrete examples or evidence to support your purpose.
  • Encourage feedback and clarification to ensure everyone is aligned.

3. Building the processes that can deliver results

Ultimately, what matters is driving the processes that enable the growth engine. Here are the things which good taskmasters do :

  • Identify critical objectives and break them down into actionable steps.
  • Develop transparent processes and workflows to achieve those objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that roles and responsibilities are well-defined within the processes.

4. Effective and regular reviews

Effective reviews, whether performance reviews, project reviews, or any other evaluation, are crucial for maintaining productivity and fostering growth. Ensure that we measure the effectiveness of actions regularly. Otherwise, we end up getting caught with mere stories.

5. Effectively dealing with toxic and unproductive employees

Identifying the counter-productive dynamics and dealing with the same with a firm stance can undoubtedly build the work ethic and culture of the organisation.
